Working mum shares outrage at Hermes parcel note which tells her to stop shopping online as she's 'never home' for the delivery

A MUM was outraged to find a delivery note advising her to stop shopping online as she's "never there" for its arrival.

Kim Thursfield, who juggles being a mother to a two-year-old with running her own , had ordered a box of nappies from Amazon and often buys in bulk to save money.

The 27-year-old from Bromley, Kent, found the rude message when she returned home yesterday after spending the morning with her husband Matt and daughter Alana.

Furious, she posted a photo of it on Facebook, writing: "The inappropriate message left for me by Hermes‬ ‪courier company‬ - it's really none of your business!

"I shop online for a reason! I also do my food shopping online, I don't have time to do anything let alone go to the shops with a screaming toddler‬ #‎selfemployed."

Kim's friends were equally outraged, with one writing: "Oh my god - take that message right to the top!! What the hell, if people didn't order online he wouldn't have a job?!"

Another commented: "That is terrible! Absolutely disgusting!"

Speaking to The Sun Online, Kim told how she orders a lot from online retailers, including food shops, as she doesn't always have time to get to the shops and it's often cheaper.

She explained she and Matt, who works in education, had gone out for the morning yesterday as it was the first day of his summer holiday.

Kim said: "He doesn't get to see Alana a lot - maybe a hour a day.

"I had a day off and we had taken her out to a farm.

"We left at 9am and after getting stuck in an hour-and-a-half's worth of M25 traffic we were back by 2pm and then didn't leave the house again.

"Matt found and it was like, 'Have you seen this?'

"When I looked at it I felt angry as it's none of their business!"

Explaining why she's often not at home, Kim, who is a trained , said she tries to go out with her daughter every day as she doesn't go to nursery.

She said: "We go to lots of playgroups and swimming so that she can mingle with other children and not be in the house watching television all day.

"Besides I hate being cooped up inside, especially during the summer!

"Plus I am self-employed and run my own business, so I'm out every evening from about 3pm.

"I'm just always busy working, it's not like I'm out getting my nails done or drinking cocktails or anything like that!"

A Hermes spokesperson said: “The remarks left on the card are clearly unacceptable and we would like to apologise to Mrs. Thursfield for any upset and inconvenience this may have caused. As a result the courier involved has had his round suspended pending a full investigation.”
