From rapping guests to dogs peeing on the bride’s dress… the biggest fails and funny moments from Brits’ big days
Kids run wild and proposals go a bit wrong in ITV's Wedding Surprises: Caught on Camera
FROM a doggy guest peeing on the bride’s dress to an engagement ring being lost in a pond during a supposedly romantic proposal, there’s a whole host of things which could go wrong on the big day.
Some of the worst wedding fails ever caught on camera have been laid bare in a new ITV show.
Sneaky priest
Tonight’s episode of Wedding Fails: Caught on Camera showed a sneaky vicar who used his knowledge of the local Essex area to catch out a fake bride on her sham marriage.
By substituting words in the vows for local railway stations Pitsea, Benfleet and Leigh-on-Sea, Father Tim Codling managed to call a halt to the entire ceremony.
Their parish had seen a suspicious rise in applications for marriage in the build up to this event.
Father Tim said: “We were fully aware of what was going on, but feeling pretty much helpless in order to stop those marriages taking place.
“She repeated those railway names parrot fashion. It became abundantly clear she had no idea what was happening.”
Among the hilarious moments was a bride and groom who got hit by a drone when attempting to catch the perfect wedding shot.
Marking his territory on the bride
Catching the wedding train
Celebrity wedding crashers including Del Boy, Barack Obama and Gary Barlow – who advertised his marriage services on Twitter – all added to the big day for some super fans.
Barking mad
Weddings can be a pricey affair, with the entire day costings upwards of £20,000, and now even dogs are getting in on the action.
As pug-obsessed Christine explained: “I decided to get the dogs married, just because it seemed the most natural thing to do.”
The dog owner has even replaced the pictures of her children with pugs in her home, adding: “Sorry for the offence, kids.”
'Will you marry ahhhhhh'
Some like to make grand gestures when they pop the question, but this often doesn’t go to plan.
Aspiring groom Sharif found this out the hard way, when he dropped his engagement ring into a POND during his big proposal.
Luckily, he found the diamond after a long search.
Sharif said: “I was determined, I was on a mission. I didn’t even think twice.”
ASAP Rappy
Amateur rapper Rachael spent every morning for four months practising her speech for her sister Hayley’s wedding.
She performed a brilliant version of Ice Ice Baby at the reception, and explained: “It was simply because it rhymes with Paul and Hayley.”
Luckily, the performance went down a treat – with even Vanilla Ice sharing it on social media.
