Those who give generously to charity have MORE SEX than those who don’t… according to science

In one study, researchers asked 102 unmarried ladies and 105 unmarried gents to describe their charitable tendencies – including whether or not they give money, donate blood, or help people on the street.

Both men and women who scored highly on the charity scale reckoned they were more attractive to, and received more attention from, members of the opposite sex.

Altruistic blokes tended to have had more sexual partners in their lifetime, and specifically more casual partners.

For those in a long-term relationship, charitable men and women both reported having more sex over the last 30 years than their stingy counterparts.

Not only did generous people get more action... they were also more desirable to the opposite sex

In another study, 335 students were giving the option to donate the £76 they were given for taking part in the research to charity.

The people taking part were also asked to answer questions about their sexual history and, to check they were telling the truth, were tested for their tendency to embellish the truth.

After factoring out the narcissistic people, researchers found a link between charitable tendencies and having more sex.

Generous men were found to have had more partners in the past – and both men and women had had more casual sex, as well as more sexual partners in the past year.

Past research from hunter-gatherer tribes has also found that men who share their meat with others outside of their family are likely to have more sex.

While other studies have found that altruistic people are seen as more desirable.

Another interpretation of the results is that those who are getting lucky on a regular basis are more likely to be generous.

But either way, it’s win-win for their donator and the charities they’re giving to.
