Say hello to these hilarious ‘Snapchat loving’ grannies
These Nans prove that they can Snapchat with the best of them
WHO says Snapchat is just for the young?
These social media savvy nans are nailing the photo-sharing app.
It was recently revealed that Snapchat is becoming pretty popular amongst older folk - with roughly 150 million people now using it every day.
Here are some of the best times grannies have owned Snapchat.
Nanny Carol went all out with her snap, choosing to add a rather dramatic make-up filter, while one glam grandmother proved she could ‘butterfly filter’ with the best of us.
However, some nans have even used the app to troll their unsuspecting grandchildren. One particular joker did two snaps, the first said “Hello darling. Not” with the next shot showing a family photo captioned “Gosh you so darn ugly”.
Ouch.
One woman was left surprised when her beloved Nan even offered her relationship advice via the app, Snapchatting her a photo of a group of men alongside the message “Found you a new husband lol”.
Well, they do say you should listen to your elders…
Some grannies have even used the app to criticise their noisy hubbies.
One snapped “Grandpa has the TV on really loud.”
Other hilarious snaps seem to demonstrate the ‘bread head’ filter being particularly popular amongst OAPs.
One Twitter user wrote: “So my friend sent me a snapchat of his grandma with a hello kitty shirt on and it’s my new favourite thing”.
While another granny simply captioned her bread faced snap with “I am u r grandmother”.
But news of older folk becoming Snapchat pros might not be too surprising considering recent figures.
As of April it was revealed that users now watch more than a whopping 10 BILLION videos every day on the service.
This huge growth in users has been driven by the app's 'Story' feature, where users can post a series of photos from their day.

It now looks like Snapchat could continue to become more popular.
When Twitter was first founded in 2006, it was the largest social network after Facebook, but since then it has been passed by other Facebook apps, including Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp – while Snapchat has continued to grow.
Its newer features such as beautifying effects, live filters, voice changing and face swapping have certainly encouraged more users (including grans) to continue snapping and sharing.
Other features recently unveiled include a new set of stickers, including llamas and pineapples as well as a new ‘Memories’ upgrade.
