Beauty blogger who applied 100 layers of foundation does it again with FACE MASKS

Josefin Lillakas was retaliating to comments saying that her previous challenge would leave her with spots

JUST when you thought the beauty world couldn’t get any crazier, along came the ‘100 layer’ challenge.

Nail polish, fake tan, foundation; you name it; it’s been ‘layered’ over the last few weeks.

But it seems there was one more avenue to be explored…

After recently attracting unwanted criticism from slathering 100 layers of foundation on to her face, Swedish beauty vlogger Josefin Lillakas has come up with an ingenious way to silence the haters.

“Your pores will commit suicide”, “you're going to have really bad breakouts from that” and “she is just asking for pimples” were just some of the negative comments she received on her now viral video.

She explains that the above remarks meant she “had to” paint her skin with 100 layers of peel-off face mask in response.

She tells the camera: “I had to do this, so I wouldn't get any breakouts”.

The new video has already had more than one million hits, as thousands have tuned in to watch Josefin painstakingly apply 100 layers of a sticky, peel-off black face mask.

“It has a really strong smell to it”, she says.

In between layers the face mask takes an increasingly long time to dry, so Josefin takes to using a hairdryer on her face to speed up the application.

“70 layers kind of looks the same as when I had 50 on,” she adds.

Eventually, she stops at the landmark 100, and sits back to admire her handy-work.

“It looks like my face has melted,” she says, as she gazes at her crispy looking face.

She then proceeds to pull the black gunk from her face and it slowly comes away to reveal her pink tinged skin underneath.

“It's like gum,” she describes.

Josefin then says that she plans on having a shower to help remove the last few bits of the messy black product.

She adds that she hopes her avid layering will leave her with her “best skin ever”.

Sadly, it seems that the end result is actually “sensitive” pores and tingling skin.

Ouch.
