Netdoctor has revealed what's best to avoid while you're on board your flight this summer - so you can have them most comfortable flight possible
A HEALTH website has revealed the secret reason why you should only eat the vegetarian option when you're jetting off on holiday this summer.
Often flights can be boring and it's tempting to eat to keep yourself entertained but this may result in digestive discomfort, sorecommend only having a small snack while flying.
But, if you are going to indulge in an in-flight meal, the health site advise opting for the vegetarian option - this is because it's "often lighter and more nutritious then the regular plane food."
Also, another key tip the site suggest is to avoid any sugary snacks because they can cause havoc to your blood sugar levels, leaving you feeling tiredness and agitated.
Other helpful hacks include, packing ginger and chamomile teabags to relieve nausea and motion sickness and giving deep-fried and fatty foods a miss as they can often cause heartburn and ingestion.
And you should steer clear of baked beans, chickpeas, cabbage, broccoli and onions before the flight because they can leave you feel extra bloated as as the cabin pressure drops and the gas expands in your intestines.
Keeping hydrated on board is also important for your skin because the cabin pressure can dry out any moisture, so make sure you drink enough water .
And similarly, nibbling on fruit with high water weight like melon, strawberries and grapes can easily re-hydrate you.
So to ensure you and your family all have the most easy and comfortable flight possible - follow these simple steps.
