Missed McDonald's breakfast?

Don’t worry, now you can make a McMuffin at home

Because now you don't even need to leave the house in your pyjamas, you can just stay at home

If you missed the 10:30 cut-off for Maccies breakfast, this is the one for you.

You can finally enjoy the sweet buttered bread of the muffin, the perfectly runny egg and the mouth-wateringly tasty patty in the comfort of your own home.

INGREDIENTS:

1 x Pork sausage
1 x Egg
1 x Slice American cheese
1 x English Muffin
1 x Teaspoon of butter
1 x Tablespoon of olive oil
1 x Squirt of your favourite sauce, such as ketchup or brown sauce [optional]

DIRECTIONS:
1. With a sharp knife make a cut along the casing of the sausage, allowing you to peel away the skin, leaving you with the sausage meat.

2. Using an egg ring mould the sausage meat into a burger patty shape, patting it down into shape with your fingers. If you don’t have an egg ring an old tin of tuna with the top and bottom taken off will do.

3. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan and cook the sausage patty on a medium heat for three minutes on each side – or until nicely browned. While the patty is cooking split the English muffin and put it in the toaster.

4. To cook the egg, drizzle a bit more oil into the pan and place the egg ring in the middle. Crack the egg into the ring and cook it for one – two minutes. Once it starts to set tap the yolk with a teaspoon to ensure it’s nice and runny.

5. Now you can start building your McMuffin – first start with your cheese, then the sausage patty and finally the egg.

6. Serve with a squirt of your favourite sauce, put your feet up and enjoy your homemade Maccies breakfast.
