Young people aren’t getting laid as study finds ‘more virgins now than any time since 1920s’… so we’ve created step-by-step Ladybird guide to getting it on
YOUNG people spend so much time on social media they have lost the art of getting lucky, with more virgins aged 20 to 24 now than at any time since the 1920s, as we told you last week.
Experts claim “hook-up” apps like Tinder may be to blame as people spend so long online there is no time for sex.
Another shock survey found 49 per cent in that age group hadn’t had sex in a year, with web-obsessed youngsters’ crumbling face-to-face social skills blamed for the national drought.
Professor Jean Twenge, whose team at San Diego State University studied 26,707 adults, said dating apps should “help young adults find sexual partners more easily”.
But she said: “Technology may have the opposite effect. If young people are spending so much time online they interact less in person.”
To help get a few more notches on the nation’s bedposts, we’ve created a guide in the style of the classic Ladybird children’s books to getting lucky - without the help of an app, website, or social media outlet.
