TOWIE’s Chloe Sims talks surgery regrets, Botox and being broody
Chloe opens up about her relationship with daughter Maddie and whether she'll give her a sibling one day
WE get glammed up with the 34-year-old TOWIE star and talk Botox, surgery regrets and being broody...
Hey, Chloe, you’re good at this blow-drying malarkey…
Thanks! I always enjoy getting my hair done. But my passion is definitely make-up. I love spending time putting it on and doing other people’s make-up, too.
Your salon does Botox now. Do you ever book yourself in for a quick session?
Yes! I still have Botox, but not as much as I did years ago. I’m also thinking of having a skin peel done on TOWIE.
You’ve talked openly about your two boob jobs and £4,500 Brazilian butt lift. Would you ever have more work done?
I don’t want to ever go under the knife again. My boobs are a bit of a regret. They’re like 1990s perky ones, instead of the more natural-looking boobs you see now.
What’s changed your mind about surgery?
When I had my second boob op, taking me from a 34DD to a EE cup, I really panicked before the procedure. I kept thinking: “What if I don’t wake up?” I don’t want to go through that again.
Why do you think cosmetic surgery is so popular now?
Nobody ages any more! If Kim K isn’t ageing, then no one else wants to.
Are you confident about your looks?
I feel quite good for 34. I never look in the mirror and think: “Oh, god.” I actually think I look the same age as a lot of 20 year olds! I’ve always been a fake-tan girl and wear sunblock on my face when I’m on holiday, so I think I’ve got good skin for my age. Young girls don’t look after their skin these days.
You always look fab to us! Do you spend a lot of time getting ready in the morning?
On a normal day, it takes me about 20 minutes to do my make-up – I don’t wear that much when I’m not filming. But if I have an event, I like to spend a whole hour just on my make-up because I really enjoy it.
Do you spend ages getting ready to take your daughter Madison, 11, to school?
No! I look like death on the school run, I just scrape my hair back and go. The 90 minutes I spend with Maddie in the morning is our time, so I wouldn’t waste a minute of that by putting on make-up. If anything, I feel embarrassed if I have to pick her up straight from a shoot and I’ve got a full face of make-up on.
Are you a hands-on mum?
I like to think so. I always have a right laugh with Maddie, we do a lot together. If we want to go on holiday, we just pack our stuff and go. I also let her give me makeovers. They’re mad – the other day I had lipgloss under my eyes! But Maddie never wears proper make-up. I can’t bear it when you see kids with little Chanel bags and wearing make-up.
Would you like to have another child one day?
I’ve always said that I’d have one more, but now I’m a bit older, I’m not sure. I need nine hours’ sleep a night – I can’t imagine waking up every two hours to feed a baby. I was with two-year-old Nelly [Billie Faiers’ daughter] yesterday and it made me really broody, but I’m 50-50 about having another myself. I’d be going into my 40s with a small child and I’m not sure if I want that.
