From Katie Price for dressage to Prince William for archery, meet the stars we handpicked for our own Olympic team
We're not sure they'd bring back any gold medals, but they'd definitely make for good spectator sport
WE'VE been blown away by the sporting ability of all the Olympic athletes, but how would our favourite celebs fare at the Games?
We’ve put together our very own celebrity Olympic team (although we doubt they’d bring back a single medal…) #GoTeamCeleb
Boris Johnson – Abseiling
Who could forget poor old Boris dangling in the air at the London 2012 Olympics?
He was supposed to gracefully zoom above crowds watching the Games at Victoria Park, but instead he inelegantly ground to a halt 65ft off the ground.
According to eyewitnesses, he spent the intervening minutes waving his Union Jack flags.
He gets top marks for patriotism, but let’s hope he’s been practising his abseiling skills since then.
Prince William – Archery
The Duke of Cambridge tried his hand at archery in India earlier this year, and judging by the look on Kate’s face he wasn’t particularly talented.
We doubt he’d win us the gold, but at least it would be an interesting one to watch.
Plus, Prince George would be a great team mascot.
Arnold Schwarzenegger - Cycling
He might be known for bodybuilding, but these pics of actor-turned-Mayor Arnie prove he’s a man of many talents.
He'll be shouting Hasta La Vista to the rest of the competition in no time.
Perhaps he’ll need to splash out on a proper bike though?
Katie Price – Dressage
She’s a big fan of horses, and it seems the former glamour model is turning into one herself in this picture.
With any luck she’ll give the other horses a run for their money, maybe her husband Kieran Haylor can be the jockey?
Rihanna – Swimming
The Barbadian singer posts snaps of herself posing in bikinis so often on Instagram that she must be clocking some serious hours in the pool. Surely all the pictures aren’t just for posing purposes?
Michael Phelps better watch out…
Leonardo Di Caprio – Walking
Let’s be honest, walking isn’t the most interesting of sports. But if happy chappy Leo was taking part we’d be glued to the screen.
Plus, after going through hours of gruelling filming in the remote wilds of Alberta, Canada, for The Revanent, taking part would literally be a walk in the park for the Oscar-winning actor.
Jennifer Lawrence – Diving
The Hunger Games actress looks super keen in her full-length wetsuit, and she’s definitely more covered up than Tom Daley in those little Speedos.
Although she is known for tripping up on the red carpet, so let’s hope she doesn’t fall over on the diving board…
Nicki Minaj – Weightlifting
Rapper Nicki spent so much time lifting those mini dumbbells in her Anaconda music video that she must have built up some muscles.
We’ll put her in touch with fellow teammate, Arnold Schwarzenegger, incase she needs some extra tips.

Zac Efron – Basketball
Okay, we admit we’ve only enlisted Bad Neighbours actor Zac on our team because we want to drool over him.
For some reason, the heart throb always seems to play basketball topless (not that we’re complaining).
Perhaps his abs will also distract the competition.
Geri Halliwal – Sailing
Whether Ginger Spice is holidaying in St Tropez or Italy, she seems to spend most of her life on a boat.
We’re not sure if she has any sailing ability or just enjoys posing on boats?
But either way, what’s an Olympic team without a Spice Girl? #GoGeri
