Man who had a vasectomy tells his wife she is PREGNANT with their fourth child… and she is over the moon

A MAN surprised his wife by telling her that they are expecting a baby – even though he recently had a vasectomy.

Tim Brummel, from Atlanta, America, noticed his partner Rachel had been acting “a little bit pregnant” and was suspicious that his operation may not have worked.

"She was tired a lot, a little bit more hungry than normal even, felt a little bit nauseous," he revealed.

After realising he had not been back to the doctor for his five month check-up, the dad-of-three devised a cunning plan to find out if another child was on the way.

Tim disabled the toilet’s flush, then used a pregnancy test after Rachel had been to the bathroom. The result was positive.

He decided to film his wife’s reaction when he broke the news and has since shared the heart-warming clip online.

In the video, Tim hides the pregnancy test behind a card that reads: “If you ever worried that life would be a bore, put that fear aside - you are now a mommy of four."

Rachel is shocked and cries out: "Shut up! What did you do? For real?"

He replied: "This time I knew before you!"

She bursts into tears of joy and says: "I don't know what to think. I'm a little bit in shock. I'm not quite sure if I should believe you."

The couple decided to keep their happy news a secret until they found out the gender of their baby.

A few weeks later they told their three boys that they were getting another brother.

The oldest seemed disappointed and said: "I wanted a sister."

Falling pregnant after a vasectomy is not uncommon.

The most common cause is having unprotected sex right after the operation, before all the remaining live sperm has been "flushed" out of the system.

Less common is when the sperm tubes reconnect after the procedure, or when live sperm penetrate the soft scar tissue shortly after the operation.
