From designer vaginas to dimpleplasty, these are the weirdest plastic surgeries in the UK
Top surgeons describe some of the wackiest procedures
MORE than 51,000 Brits had nips, tucks or plumps in 2015 – with the industry now worth £3.6billion a year.
Women account for 91 per cent of cosmetic procedures but the number of men going under the knife has doubled in the last ten years.
Boob jobs were the most popular procedure of 2015, with 9,652 done across the UK.
This was closely followed by the lesser-known eyelid surgery.

From umbilicoplasty, to mastopexy and banana-roll reduction, there is an endless list of weird and wonderful surgeries.
Here top surgeons Dr Tijion Esho (), Dr Massimiliano Marcellino () and Dr Aamer Khan () talk us through some of them.
Back handle elimination
(From £1,500 per course)
Dr Khan says: These are the rolls of fat that hang over the back of your jeans or skirt, caused by excess fat, ageing and hormones.
Pro Shock uses cryolipolysis to crystalise lipoids in fat cells so they dissolve and are eliminated from the body naturally over the following weeks.
Next, high-pressure acoustic waves are targeted on the treated areas to tighten the skin.
Four to six sessions, ten days apart.
Mastopexy
(From £6,800)
Dr Marcellino says: This is a breast uplift, which involves repositioning the areola, nipple and the mammary tissue into a higher position.
It’s normally performed under general anaesthetic, takes between two to three hours and involves a range of different lifts depending upon the extent of sagging.
Brazilian butt lift
(From £6,500)
Dr Khan says: The Brazilian butt lift is best for flat, saggy bottoms because it gives a curve and roundness to the rear.
Your body’s spare fat, usually taken from around the tum, hips and thighs, is treated then injected into your buttocks to shape them.
You will need a local anaesthetic and sedation then annual top-up treatments, as not all the fat will stay.
It takes up to a week to recover and sitting down is a little sore for a few weeks.
Umbilicoplasty
(From £3,000)
Dr Marcellino says: This operation changes the shape of the belly button or repositions it.
It is commonly done to change a protruding belly button to one that no longer protrudes.
There are a number of techniques used, including removing part of the abdomen, but these depend on the change that is required by the client.
Dimpleplasty
(From £1,500)
Dr Khan says: Dimple creation work is all the rage thanks to Cheryl Cole’s winning grin.
It connects skin and cheek muscle, so when the latter contracts it pulls the skin in to form a dimple.
After a fortnight, the sutures dissolve and the skin flattens out.
Axilliaplasty
(From £3,000)
Dr Khan says: Bra spam, when excess skin bulges out around the straps and under the arm, is a common problem for most women over 40.
During an axillaplasty procedure, excess fat is suctioned up and loose overhanging skin is removed, creating a thin scar hidden in the armpit.
The operation is usually carried out under a general anesthetic.
Ear-tox
(From £1,500)
Dr Khan says: Ear-tox, or ear rejuvenation, is a new procedure which makes ears look younger.
They are plumped with a laser lobe lift that reshapes the lobe and reduces the size of stretched piercings and sagging.
Finally, dermal fillers restore the lobe.
Kybella chin lift
(From £2,000)
Dr Khan says: Double chins are caused by sagging, fat deposits and generally lifestyle and ageing.
But a new fat-melting injection targets small pockets of fat that are resistant to diet or exercise.
Each treatment can consist of up to 50 injections.
Most patients will require between three and six treatments, a month apart, and the results are permanent.
PRP penoplasty
(From £4,500)
Dr Marcellino says: This increases the length or girth of the penis, using platelet- rich plasma (PRP).
A small amount of blood is taken from the patient then the plasma and platelets are enriched with growth factors before being used in the procedure.
To increase the girth, fat is taken via liposuction and injected into the shaft of the penis, normally increasing girth by one or two inches.
Cankle reduction
(From £3,000)
Dr Khan says: Cankles can be caused by excess weight, water retention or genetics.
Laser lipo creates a shapelier lower leg.
Less invasive than traditional lipo, it involves inserting a fibre-optic laser under the skin to break down fat.
A knock-on effect is increased production of collagen to tighten skin.
Results are permanent.
Banana roll reduction
(From £2,000)
Dr Khan says: These are the rolls of fat which form just below each buttock crease — so called because they are shaped like bananas.
They are caused mainly by excess weight, ageing and sagging.
A radiofrequency probe is inserted through a tiny incision which heats and melts fat that is then sucked out.
At the same time, the probe heats the skin, causing it to tighten and contract.
Lunchtime body lift
(From £3,000)
Dr Khan says: These new lifts use threads inserted under the skin with a fine needle to gently lift sagging skin back into place.
The 45-minute procedure is done with local anaesthetic and popular areas are the chest, inner arms and abdomen.
It also increases blood circulation and boosts collagen, which improves skin tone.
Instant results, lasting 18 to 24 months.
Eyebrow transplant
(From £3,500)
Dr Khan says: If you have overplucked your eyebrows, transplants are the solution.
Individual hairs are taken from the scalp then transplanted to your brow where they are meticulously angled to follow the desired line of your eyebrow.
The hair will fall out within four weeks but permanent new eyebrows will grow back.
Designer vagina
(From £1,000)
Dr Khan says: One of the fastest-growing trends.
Labiaplasty reduces the size of, or reshapes, the labia minora.
Vaginoplasty tightens the vagina — popular with women who gave birth.
Another new treatment, O shots, increases the sexual sensations women lost or never had.
They rejuvenate the vagina.
Treatment takes 45 minutes.
Cupid's bow lift
(From £700)
Dr Esho says: This procedure has grown in popularity recently.
Threads are inserted into the area above the lip and below the nose, which is called the philtrum.
The threads help to define the natural outline of the lip, to give a stronger, more feminine Cupid’s Bow shape to the mouth.
Bull frog reduction
(From £2,000)
Dr Khan says: A bull frog is a fat bulge in the pelvic area.
Hormonal changes, ageing, weight gain and childbirth can all be factors.
Bodytite, a less aggressive version of lipo, uses a laser inserted under the skin to melt fat which is then sucked out.
The laser also boosts collagen creation, to tighten skin.
It is done with a local anaesthetic or light sedation.
Nipple repositioning
(From £2,800 to £4,000)
Dr Marcellino says: This is becoming more and more popular.
Nipple lifts involve creating several small flaps of skin around the actual nipple to allow it to be pushed up and out.
This work may be done in order to even out asymmetrical nipples or to correct inverted nipples.
