Model reduced to tears on live TV as ‘DIY dad’ HOOVERS her hair into a ponytail… and it goes agonisingly wrong
THE bizarre trick, performed by TV tradie Rob Palmer, backfired as her hair became painfully tangled
A MODEL was reduced to tears on live TV as a man tried to suck up her hair into a ponytail - and it went horribly wrong.
TV tradie Rob Palmer, a DIY expert on Australian show Better Homes and Gardens, performed the 'trick' as part of a segment about 'DIY dads' on .
He spoke about a viral YouTube video in which a dad styled his little girl's hair into a neat ponytail using a vacuum cleaner.
It involves putting a bobble on the end of the hoover pipe before sucking up the hair and applying the hair tie.
Reassuring pretty production assistant Jen he'd done it "four times before" on his daughter, Rob attempted the technique on the show.
But as he applied the nozzle to her blonde tresses, his attempt at a 'ballet bun' didn't quite to go to plan.
