BRITISH homes are set to be invaded by hordes of randy spiders - and some of the sex-crazed critters are likely to be as big as mice.
Every September, our homes seem to fill up with huge house spiders, although the reason why they suddenly emerge at this time of year is stranger than you might think.

The critters, which can grow up to 12cm long, have probably been lurking in your home all year, but only come out from their hiding places at the end of summer.
And spider experts say that the creatures choose this time of year to emerge because it's when they're ready to mate.
Steve McGrail, from Pro-Kill Environmental, said that male spiders are normally reclusive, but tend to be driven out into the open by their desire to get their legs over.
