Woman opens 13ft inflatable Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in her lounge… and instantly regrets it

Writer was left lost for words after underestimating how big the huge Ghostbusters inflatable really was

A WOMAN got rather more than she bargained for when she decided to inflate a 13ft Stay Puft Marshmallow man in her lounge.

Marie Hicks, an author and historian from Chicago, decided to buy the giant inflatable on a whim.

When she needed a break from writing, she decided to open up the Ghostbusters model instead of leaving it until Halloween.

“I am a huge Ghostbusters fan so I bought Mr Stay Puft on sight. I had been planning on saving it for October but since I needed a pick-me-up I figured ‘what the heck’ and cracked open the box to try it out," she told Buzzfeed.

Unfortunately for her, Marie had underestimated just how huge the marshmallow man really was.

The inflatable blew up so big that it struggled to fit in her house and the situation started to get out of control.

“It blew up a lot faster than I thought it would, and it was way wider than I realised,” she said.

The Stay Puft Marshmallow man became so big that it even began to knock over pieces of furniture in her house.

When it came to removing the inflatable, Marie really was left saying: "Who you gonna call?"
