THERE are all kinds of pitfalls when it comes to writing a CV.
Perhaps the biggest one to avoid is exaggerating (or just plain lying about) your talents and abilities in certain areas.
A little embellishment may be OK – but some things should be left well alone.
CV writers take heed, a story about one man claiming to have "mastered the piano" at 15 has now gone viral – after his boasting landed him in hot water.
It doesn’t seem that the person’s new role had anything to do with music, so he probably thought his little fabrication would simply look impressive.
How wrong could he be?
His friend tweeted that said man’s bosses considered his ‘skill’ and went on to ask him to play for the board of directors. Yikes.
To the amusement of the web, the non-piano player’s friend, Javier Acosta, tweeted his pal's plight.
Many found the situation hilarious.
While other users came up with ideas to avoid the situation.
Many recommended feigning an injury or conjuring up a fake cast. Twitter was alight with ideas.
