One user was so outraged she posted: “Instead of LTB [leave the bastard] can we have FTB (fire the bitch).”

While another commented: “Totally unacceptable. Hear your nanny out but I think I’d be dismissing her. Leaving a 3[year old]?!?? There can be no justification for that.”

Another simply said “STB” an abbreviation for “sack the bitch.”

In a follow up post the mother “alwaystimeforgin” said that she had spoken to the nanny who had apparently left the little girl with a friend.

The friend had then had to attend to her own child and forgot about the three-year-old leaving her to wander on her own.

Despite the explanation the parent was still sceptical.

She said: “I think to be honest I have just answered my own question- I should just get a new nanny and move on.”
