THEY say that beauty is pain – but this face mask seems to take the biscuit.

A young woman has gone viral after posting a video of herself screaming in pain as she removes a peel-off face mask.

Twitter user Cachet___ recoils in horror as she peels the black DIY mask from her face - and plenty of fellow Twitter users could relate.

Explaining that she had purchased the mask online, she said: "That sh** hurt so bad but my skin feel good af (as f***)."

Despite the agony, apparently the results were pretty good, she added: "Yes it worked so good it was just the pain tolerance."

Another Twitter user has shared an Amazon review of a similarly painful face mask, although it's not clear if it’s the same product as the one in the Cachet___ clip.

The summary read: "If you are looking for something closer to asphalt from the roads of hell, you've come to the right place.
