How do I clean my oven? This Mumsnet user just came up with a genius hack using a DISHWASHER TABLET…but not everyone’s convinced
The woman even showed proof of the tip
IT'S rare to find anyone who loves doing housework, but cleaning the oven is a particularly tedious chore.
Grime gets baked on and can take ages to shift, plus the products you buy for the job usually stink.
That's why Mumsnet users were amazed to hear one woman's hack for the job, which involves just a DISHWASHER TABLET.
User Witterrtwittery took to the forum to share her excitement at giving the life hack a go.
Next to a photo of her oven door, which was half covered in grease and half sparkling clean, she wrote: "LOOK! Just look! That took less than 5 mins, and my oven was particularly disgusting!!! Thank you thank you thank you to whoever posted that tip a while back!"
People were quick to remark on how amazing the difference was, with one asking exactly what the process involved.
It's pretty easy too.
All you have to do is slightly dampen a dishwasher tablet then rub it all over the glass.
Just like that, all the grease and goo will come off.

However, as with all good Mumsnet chats not everyone could agree on whether the tip works.
One woman agreed it was great, explaining her hubby had given in a go at the weekend and was amazed by the results.
But it was a different story for ChipmunkSundays: "I just rushed off all excited to try this, but the tablet just disintegrated all over the door immediately.
"What am I doing wrong? I just put it under the tap for a minute, I didn't soak it or anything. Or does it need to be a particular brand of dishwasher tablet?"
MyVisionsComeFromSoup agreed, explaining: "I tried this, and it made no difference whatsoever, the dishwasher tablet just crumbled in my hand."
Another reader suggested not getting the tablet too wet was key.
Apparently, all you need to do is add a couple of drops of water to begin with, then a few more if you need them.
PovertyPain added: "If the tablet crumbles, surely using a damp rung out cloth over the top of the tablet so you're still rubbing the tablet powder in."
Of course you could just use the tablets in your dishwasher, but don't make the mistake of thinking it'll only clean your plates.
