We compared McDonald’s, Burger King’s and KFC’s medium/regular sized fries to check out which offering is the most sinful.

Mcdonald’s
A portion of McDonald’s medium fries will set you back 337 calories – 17 per cent of your daily allowance.
They also rack up:
Fat – 17g per portion, of which saturates – 1.5g
Carbohydrates – 42g per portion
Salt – 0.62g per portion
Burger King
BK’s medium sized fries pack in 280 calories per portion – so slightly less than Maccy’Ds medium-sized offering.
Other nutritionals include:
Fat – 12g per portion, of which saturates – 4g
Carbohydrates – 36g per portion
Salt – 0.57g per portion
Recommended Daily Allowances (RDAs) for the average adult
To compare, here are your RDAs:
Calories: 2000
Total fat: 70g
Saturated fat: 20g
Sugars: 90g
Protein: 50g
Salt: 6g
KFC
The Colonel’s regular sized fries come in at 310 calories – once again, less than the Golden Arches.
Other nutritional info includes:
Fat – 14.6g per portion, of which saturates – 4g
Carbohydrates – 41.8g per portion
Salt – 0.1g per portion
So what does this mean?
In general, it would seem that Burger King fries are the way to go in terms of calories, however while their overall fat is the least, they pack the most saturated fat.
KFC pack the least salt per portion – so if you’re trying to avoid the salty stuff these could be the best option.
Maccy D’s fries are the most calorific…so if you’re planning on indulging and they’re your favourite, they are the ones to consider more of a ‘treat’ – but they do contain the least saturated fat, so they win brownie points there.
However, all of the options are still considered ‘junk’ food so it’s best to limit yourself whatever your choice…
