Was Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery faked? Conspiracy theories sweep internet after star’s gunpoint ordeal
SAY what you like about the Kardashian clan, they may be brash and garish and they may rub you up the wrong way but we can all agree that being the victim of a robbery at gun point is a horrific ordeal for anyone to go through.
As details emerge of the violent crime, which involved Kim being handcuffed and thrown in the bath tub, there has been an outpouring of supportive messages from fellow celebs but the general public seem to be less sympathetic.
Piers Morgan, Leona Lewis and James Corden have all rallied behind the US reality star, with Corden tweeting: "People making jokes about @KimKardashian tonight would do well to remember that she's a mother, a daughter, a wife, a friend. Be nice or shut up"
His tweet was backed by X Factor winner Leona Lewis who sent her love to the star.
The “badly shaken” reality star, 35, fled the French capital on a private jet hours after being held hostage in the flat’s bathroom by several men dressed as police.
Kim is understood to have been bound with handcuffs and packing tape before being forced into a bathtub.
But many have now turned to Twitter to make outrageous claims that the entire incident was a hoax.
In amongst frenzied twitter response since the attack are a number of conspiracy theories which have emerged.
Some claim Kim staged the whole thing for publicity with , "I don't believe this Kim Kardashian heist is genuine at all.
"A total publicity stunt in my opinion. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but whatevs!"
Others thought the event is part of an insurance-fraud scheme, with several users claiming the heist was set up so the West family are able to claim insurance money.
That's not all.. some even suggested the heist was designed to boost next season's ratings on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Twitter user says, "Funny thing about this Kim Kardashian robbery is that I bet camera crew caught everything on tape.
"Ratings will be awesome next season."
And some wilder claims suggest Taylor Swift was involved, following the pair's long-running feud.
