Viewers call on Arnie Newson to 'get an actual job' after he turns up on two different shows on the same day

EAGLE-EYED TV viewers have told one reality contestant to “get a job” after spotting him on SEVEN different shows.

Arnie Newson, from London, has popped up on a variety of programmes over the last two years including This Morning, First Dates and Channel 4 game show Benchmark.

Last week he appeared on ITV’s The Chase and was labelled a “flirt” after taking part in some light-hearted banter with quiz champion, ‘The Vixen’.

But that wasn’t his only TV cameo of the day – he later appeared on Dinner Date.

Audiences took to Twitter and called for producers to recruit some fresh faces – and for Arnie to get a real career.

Lucy Roberts wrote: “That Arnie has now been on First Dates, Dinner Date and The Chase? He needs an actual job.... and so do I so I don't know this kind of s***.”

One woman tweeting as @BethanDerbyshir asked: “How many tv shows has this Arnie been on recently?! #TheChase.”

While Jessica Ayre added: “Anyone else realise that Arnie on #TheChase right now has also been on dinner date this afternoon? #DaytimeTVWench.”

Arnie, who has built up a modest fan base of 3,200 fans on Twitter, has also appeared on Grease Night and Guess This House.

In February he appeared on the First Dates Valentine's special where he failed to woo Mayfair-based jewellery designer Miki.

Describing himself as a city worker, Arnie likened himself to a “gangster David Cameron” and claimed he had distant connections to Italian aristocracy.

In January 2014, Arnie appeared on a This Morning phone in where he failed to scoop a cash prize during a game of Price Tag.

Arnie tweeted host Paddy McGuinness following his appearance on Benchmark, writing: “Banging few days filming with you - thank you for everything, I really do appreciate it.”

When he’s not on the telly, Arnie has been busy writing a Where's Wally-style children's book featuring images of his pet dog Mario.
