SAMSUNG may not be having the best time of it since it was forced to axe its flagship handset – but the internet is having a field day.

Twitter user Stilgherrian posted a photo of a young girl in front of a house burning down alongside the caption: “Samsung shareholders meeting.”
Russian Market also got in on the joke, sharing a gif of a man lighting his cigar from a fire in his lap, with the comment: “Reading Twitter on your Samsung phone.”
Shane Matthew Neave joked soldiers could use the device in place of a grenade, writing: “Samsung have announced a new product launch, the Samsung Galaxy 7 grenade.”
One user shared an image of Batman character Two-Face trying to return his handset.
Another meme joked that there would be a “fire sale” with the offer of “buy one get 2.5 million free”.
Tom Jamieson jested: “Love this time of year when the nights are drawing in, there's a chill in the air & the whole family gathers round a roaring Galaxy Note 7.”
And another gif depicted cartoon character Homer Simpson being blown away by a huge “Note 7 blast”.
Exploding Galaxy Note 7’s have been reported around the world including in China, South Korea and the U.S – leading to a decision by Samsung to permanently discontinue the product.
The doomed handset was meant to be Samsung’s rival to Apple’s iPhone – but is instead now forecast to cost the company a whopping $17billion (£14.1billion) in lost sales.
