AS a nation we love it when things are laid bare.

Our screens are suddenly filled with naughty naked shows, with guests doing competing in reality TV programmes and completing tasks all in the nuddy.

From dating and house buying to survival and body painting, there is nothing that some body-confident participants won’t do in their birthday suit.

So here are the most revealing naked shows which have hit the small screen.

Naked Attraction

Channel Four’s controversial dating show aims to “go back to basics” stripping daters of all the things that define them.

Contestants are given the opportunity to select a partner for a date based solely on their naked bodies.

This TLC’s series hopes to explore the art of romance, without any preconceived notions, stereotypes or even clothes.

Two main contestants take up residence in tropical Bora Bora and each are given two potential partners to date each week all in the nude.

Discovery Channel’s action packed survival show has ramped things up a gear by stripping competitors of their clothes as well as their home comforts.

In this show a group of total strangers are stranded without food or water and leaves them to work together with just their survival instincts to get them through.

Naked castaway

In this extreme Discovery channel experiment one brave explorer deliberately strands himself on an island for 60 days with no tools, clothes or film crew.

The former British Army Captain has to survive his stint on the uninhabited island with absolutely nothing but his survival training.

The Nak’d Truth

This social experiment is designed to see how relationships develop without relying on clothes to express who they really are.

The group of under 35 year olds are challenged to embrace the nude lifestyle for 30 days.

Skin Wars

Skin Wars pits 12 daring nude body artists against each other to compete for the ultimate prize.

The winning painter walks away with a $100,000 prize and a trip to the World Bodypainting Festival.

The Naked Office

Unfortunately this show didn’t make it past one episode, but the concept of the unique programme  was that going naked on a Friday will help a failing company lay their problems “bare”.

Despite some initial reluctance the majority of the staff did agree to go starkers and many felt that the company was improved after the experiment.

Raunchy German dating show Adam zkt Eve sees contestants constantly walking around in the nuddy and tasks can get very heated indeed as they are all completed in the buff.

Buying Naked

American real estate programme Buying Naked, follows the work of Jackie Youngblood as she shows around couples looking to purchase property in clothing optional communities for couples who prefer to be free.

The Naked Jungle

Back in 2000 Keith Chegwin hosted an assault course game show based on children’s show Jungle Run.

All the contestants were nudists and even Keith dropped his drawers for the occasion.
