The most outrageous bunch yet? The rich kids of Nigeria show off their private jets, designer clothes and houses decked out in gold in jaw-dropping displays of wealth

IF there’s one group of people you can always count on to set up to the mark when it comes to ridiculous displays and outrageous showing off, it’s the rich kids of Instagram.

We are accustomed to being shocked by the wealthy Brits, Americans and Russians as they flaunt their riches with snaps of private jets, luxury cars and lavish holidays.

But they may now have met their match with the young people in Nigeria who document their exploits on the Richkidsnaija Instagram account.

The country’s youngest billionaire Emeka Okonkwo, is also known as E-money and made his fortune through investing in property, oil and gas and his own record label.

A billion Nigerian Naira (the Nigerian currency) is equal to about £2.5 million in the UK.

His properties in the capital Lagos are opulent and kitted out with elaborate gold furnishings and his party trick is to spray money of wedding guests using a money gun.

Another youngster who is a fan of throwing around money at parties is rapper and designer Bayo Adewale AKA Bnaira.

He became well known for his passion for fast cars, working his way up from a Honda Accord to Ranger Rovers and supercars with personalised plates.

CEO of a Lagos Bureau De Change, Mompha, shows off his Louboutin collection and boasted that he has “lots of them like coupons”.

He also happily showed off his haul from a shopping trip to Gucci, Cavalli, Valentino, Versace, Hermes and Louis Vuitton.
