£15k on lipo and a £600 vampire facelift… the true cost of Kerry Katona’s surgery revealed

The mum-of-five revealed she had gone under the knife again this week, having liposuction and a tummy tuck

KERRY Katona has gone under the knife yet again, in a bid to transform her body and avoid being the ‘fat cat’ among the Atomic Kittens.

She made the announcement today, but the reality TV star has already forked out thousands in her quest to be slim and stay looking youthful.

Here we detail the true cost of the mum-of-five’s surgery, to find out what her body and face are really worth.

September 2008: £15,000

Back in 2008, Kerry had a huge £15,000 worth of surgery in a bid to regain her post-baby body.

The singer’s decision was controversial – as she had only given birth four months before.

Kerry had recently been made bankrupt and MTV footed the bill for the surgery, which took the petite 5ft 3in star from 12st to just 8st.

She had liposuction and a breast reduction, which took her from a 34GG to a 34DD – leaving Kerry a slim size 10.

Kerry continued to slim down, and was a tiny size 6 by January 2009.

But a punishing diet of chips and kebabs with Kerry’s then-husband Mark Croft meant she was back to 10st by June 2009.

October 2010: £1,500

In 2010, Kerry discussed her facial surgery in her OK! column – a month after she was pictured jetting to LA for the treatments.

She said: “I got some Botox on my forehead, then I had fillers in my cheeks and stuff in my upper lip to make my lip looks thicker.”

A full Botox treatment costs around £350, while lip fillers start at around £300 and cheek fillers £400-a-cheek.

This takes the total estimated cost to £1,450 – although fancy celeb clinics could charge a lot more.

January 2011: £650

Just months later, Kerry had a non-surgical treatment called Mesosculpt – to get rid of stretch marks on her stomach.

She then went on to gain a stone while in the Celebrity Big Brother house, but lost it again following a post-Christmas detox.

By January 2012, Kerry weighed 9st 4lb. She said at the time: “After having four kids, I’m not confident about my belly.

“When Max was born in 2008, I was offered liposuction for a TV show – and I think I’d have it all if I could get it for free.

“In the past few weeks, my arms have become super toned. I feel like Arnold Schwarzenegger… but I still hate my stomach.”

April 2012: £8,500

A year on, Kerry went under the knife again – having liposuction for the second time.

She wrote in her column: “Right now I’m high as a kite on painkillers because I’m recovering from a tummy tuck.

“No matter how much weight I lost, I couldn’t get rid of a pocket of skin that hung like a kangaroo around my stomach.”

She also had a ‘tightening’ procedure around her tummy, legs and bum – in the hope of shedding a stone and a half and reaching her goal weight of 8st.

She was reported to have spent £8,500.

The vampire facelift, which involves having your own blood injected into your face, left Kerry with a bloated face and puffy cheeks.

The anti-wrinkle treatment costs £600, but left Kerry’s face bruised and swollen.

She told the Daily Mirror: “I didn’t want to fall asleep because I was scared I would never wake up. My face was swelling so much I didn’t recognise myself.”

She later compared the major surgery to ‘going for an eye test’.
