As Justin Bieber storms off stage in Manchester… here are 7 of his best diva strops of all time
It's tougher than ever to be a Belieber. Clapping, cheering and asking for a selfie can all get you in serious trouble with the Love Yourself singer now, as these fans found out...
JUSTIN Bieber shocked fans in Manchester last night when he stormed off stage because excited onlookers wouldn't (or couldn't) stop screaming.
The 22-year-old singer was performing at the Manchester arena on his Purpose world tour when he unexpectedly dropped the mic and walked off stage.
In a video posted on Twitter, the Love Yourself singer can be seen trying to talk to the audience and getting increasingly impatient as they fail to listen.
In another video, he can be seen saying: “I’m not quite sure, you know, why you guys came tonight.
"I hope it was to enjoy my company as well as me enjoying your company. You know, I want to connect with you.
"The point of the no screaming thing is, so that when I’m looking at you in the eyes, you can actually know that we’re having a moment and a connection.
"It’s not just me trying to be an a**hole. It’s just me wanting to have a moment.
"Manchester you guys are awesome and I appreciate you."
After reading the room, he then said: "I’m just gonna quit talking, I’m not going to talk for the rest of the night, we’re just going to do the music because obviously Manchester just can’t handle it."
This comes just days after he branded a Birmingham crowd 'obnoxious'.
Footage published by the showed the singer telling fans: “If, when I’m speaking, you guys could not scream at the top of your lungs. Is that cool with you guys?”
“The screaming is just so obnoxious.
“If we could just scream after the songs? Enjoy the songs, then scream, screaming is awesome. Screaming is fun.”
In fact, since the Purpose tour was announced last November, Justin has had a few zero-chill moments when it came to his fans...
When the clapping was all wrong
That same month the pop star stopped a TV performance midway through when the crowd's clapping wasn't to his liking.
"At least clap on the right notes. Come on guys, stop, stop, stop, stop!
"It's like this - if you're gonna clap, at least clap on beat," he added with a wry smile.
Any Beliebers lacking rhythm, keep it down.
When meeting fans all got too much
In March, Justin announced he would be cancelling all meet and greets, for which he was charging up to £1,600.
In an emosh Instagram post, the pop star confessed: "I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people's spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy.
"Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression."
He ended by saying: "Can't tell you how sorry I am, and wish it wasn't so hard on me.. And I want to stay in the healthy mindset I'm in to give you the best show you have ever seen ;)."
According to TMZ, however, the meet and greets were called off because of a security incident when a 'potentially dangerous fan' got within 10 feet of Justin backstage.
When selfies were banned
The singer took things a step further in May when he said he would no longer be taking photos with fans because they make him feel like a 'zoo animal'.
The announcement came after he was spotted barefoot, listening to music and feeding the squirrels in a park before a show in Boston in the US.
He was approached by some fans but refused to speak to them until they put their phones away.
In an Instagram post, he later explained: "I realise people will be disappointed but I don't owe anybody a picture.
"And people who say 'but I bought your album' know that you got what you paid for, AN album!
"It doesn't say in the fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo."
It came as a huge blow to devoted Bieber fans, but many people can probably sympathise with the relentless photo requests wherever you go.
When fan gifts weren't on his wish list
What is less easy to empathise with, though, was when Justin was performing to a sold-out crowd in New Jersey in July and he paused the concert to tell off one of his fans for giving him a gift.
He said: "Take this moment to listen and try not to give me a hat or whatever you're trying to throw onto the stage right now, because I probably don't want that s**t."
Even the star seemed to see his error as he quickly added: "Sorry, that was mean."
You don't say...

When PDA was not on the agenda
A few days later, another video emerged of him dismissing a fan.
When Bieber was out shopping, a fan approached him for a hug, but he wasn't feeling it.
As she opened her arms and walked towards him, he briefly glanced at her before saying "no".
As he walks off, the fan turns around to face the camera, her mouth agape in shock.
Ouch.
When a nice 'hello' was just too hard
Then last month, in possibly the most abrupt dismissal of all, Justin told a fan he 'sucked'.
The video shows Bieber walking along the street as a fan is audibly short of breath with excitement, calling out his name.
Instead of adopting the conventional greeting of 'hello', or simply flashing a smile, Justin tells him sharply: "You guys suck."
Er, cheers Biebs.
