Why is the Starbucks Christmas cup such a thing and how have they changed through the years?

THE countdown to Christmas is finally upon us, and Starbucks lovers are already excitedly anticipating the release of the iconic festive red cup.

A pesky employee has already lifted the lid on what this year’s design might look like, even though it isn’t due to be unveiled until next month.

Following the announcement of their new Christmas menu, Starbucks are set to roll out the festive cups in the coming weeks.

The red cup has been released by Starbucks every year since 1997, with the appearance of the drinks holder changing slightly as time goes by.

In recent years, customers have started snapping photos of the Christmas designs.
