Very Christmas advert 2016 – what’s the song, when can I watch it and what is Get More Out of Giving all about?

THE competition for the best Christmas advert has already kicked off – and it’s just the start of November.

As the nation highly anticipates the release of the iconic annual John Lewis ad, other brands have already set the bar for this year’s festive showdown.

Online retail giant Very have been quick off the mark to release their heart-warming seasonal promotion.

The clip, which is based around its title Get More Out of Giving, encourages Brits to be generous to others this Christmas time.

In the adorable animation, which is like a scene out of Disney’s Frozen, a woman heads home for the festive season armed with oodles of presents.

Spreading the Christmas love to all, she hands out gifts to random passers-by.

Thankfully, the kind lady is rewarded for spreading the festive cheer as she is handed her own present too.

In the campaign, Father Christmas himself is even given his own special treat for his Christmas duties over all the years.

The music that can be heard in the background was composed by Michael Sajic, and is titled The Gift of Giving.

To celebrate the launch of Very’s new advert, the retailer decided to air the video in a very unique way.

Laura Whitmore presents a clip which shows crowds of people gathering as the footage is illuminated onto London’s County Hall.

The surprises didn’t end there, as Very even turned the London Eye PINK especially for the occasion.

To encourage Brits to give generously this year, 100 big pink presents were handed out to random people at the event.

Speaking at the event, Laura said: “Every year I’m excited to see the festive adverts, as I think it really marks the start of the Christmas countdown, so I was thrilled to be able to reveal Very’s in such a special way with this public event – it’s been amazing to bring it to life for everyone and give away some amazing gifts.

"The reaction of people who not only received a gift but also got to pass one to their friend or family was so incredible."

As Brits are getting into the festive spirits, many have started anticipating the adverts of other major retailers.

Last year, Sainsbury’s Mog the cat offering became a family favourite, but what will they be releasing this year?

Marks and Spencer are another company that always bring their Christmas A-game, and shoppers are already trying to guess which song they’ll choose to front this year’s campaign.
