CHRISTMAS toy prices can differ by over 70% in some big brand stores - we reveal where you can get this year's must-haves for less
THE price of Christmas toys at the four biggest online sellers can differ by more than 70 per cent.
Analysts calculated the total for a basket of eight best-sellers over the last five weeks at Amazon, Tesco, Argos and Toys R Us.
Amazon was the cheapest for the lot, while Toys R Us online was dearest — around 15 per cent more.
Finding Dory: My Dory Friend was £49.99 at Toys R Us — 74 per cent higher than Amazon’s £28.77. Tesco wanted £37.49 and Argos £38.49.
Analysts Profitero carried out the survey ahead of unveiling this year's Dream Toys - kids' must-haves as picked by experts.
Other notable price differences on this year's top toys include the Nerf Modulus Tri-Strike Blaster, £35.98 from Amazon, £44.99 at Argos, £50.14 at Tesco, and £39.66 at Toys R Us.
The Thomas & Friends TrackMaster Thomas’ Sky-High Bridge Jump Train will set you back £70.74 from Amazon, but costs almost £10 more from Argos, where it's priced at £80.32.
While the Furby Connect is more evenly priced in all stores, at £71.11 from Amazon, £73.31 from Argos, £71.31 from Tesco, and £71.65 from Toys R Us.
