Nintendo Classic Mini NES sells out but should be back in stock at THESE shops for Christmas
New version of 80s throwback games console will be back on the shelves just in time for December 25 - but if you can't wait until then, here's where to get it NOW
IT'S back to the 80s for Christmas with the Nintendo Classic Mini NES top of lists for Santa.
The mini games console is a new version of the original NES which was released in 1986 - and despite only being released four days ago has sold out across the UK.
At only £50 it's an affordable Christmas gift with the ultimate throwback appeal, perfect for both kids and adults. With 30 hit retro games included it's no wonder it has sold out and is now being flogged for up to five times the original price on eBay and Amazon Marketplace.

But there's no need to pay over the odds, as Nintendo have reassured customers that the console will be back in stock in early December - just in time for Christmas.
So where can you get it now and where can you pre-order in time for Christmas?
Where can I buy the Nintendo Classic Mini NES right now?
Amazon UK
You can get your hands on an NES mini on through Amazon Marketplace, but prices are high. The lowest we could find was £155 plus £2 for delivery - more than three times the original price.
CEX
have sold out online but have limited stock in store. You can check stock in store on their website. When we checked there were only TWO consoles left in the UK - both for sale in Walthamstow.
eBay
The NES mini is currently available on , but watch out for inflated prices. Despite bidding starting at 99p on the auction site, the end prices have soared to upwards of £100, with controllers going tor £50.00 alone.
We even found one console being touted at £200 - that's four times the RRP.
Where can I get the Nintendo Classic Mini NES before Christmas?
Amazon UK
say they are expecting pre-orders to be fulfilled by mid-December and they are expecting more stock soon.
GAME
told us they don't have any in stock in stores or online at the moment, but they are "looking to get them back in stock around late November to early December".
They could not confirm an exact date. However, they said that some stores are still taking pre-orders, so it's worth phoning your local GAME to check if you can guarantee one in time for Christmas.
Gameseek
The are out of stock but confirm they will be getting more units in. Meanwhile, you can set up a stock alert.
Their site says: "Due to the high demand on this product we are no longer taking pre-orders until more stock can be secured. We will re-add the buy button to the webpage when we are sure.
"Until then, please keep visiting the site often or click on the 'set up stock alert' button - to be notified when stock physically arrives."
Smyths
say they are expecting more stock in store and online between November 21 and 28. However, this will be for customers who have already pre-ordered.
They could not confirm whether there will be any extra stock available for customers who haven't pre-ordered to buy, but if you're desperate to get your hands on one there's no harm in popping down to your local Smyths on November 21.
Tesco
Tesco have sold out online but told us they expect the console to be back in stock very soon. The page to buy the NES Mini is not appearing on their website at the moment but will be up-and-running when they have more stock.
A spokesperson told The Sun: “The Nintendo Mini has proved extremely popular with customers and we’re hoping to have more in stock in the next few days.”
