DON'T BE SHY NESSIE!

Are these splashes evidence that the Loch Ness Monster exists… or was it just the wind?

The snap, taken by passer-by Steve Frame as he drove past the water, has left a top expert baffled

COULD this be a snap of Nessie having a frolic in the water?

The picture was taken by Steve Frame, 50, as he drove past Loch Ness from his home in Drumnadrochit.

These pictures appear to show some suspicious splashing around Loch Ness

He had just passed the Temple Pier which overlooks Urquhart Castle when his attention was drawn to a commotion about half way across.

Steve said yesterday: “I was driving into Inverness to run some errands when I saw this disturbance on the loch out of the corner of my eye.

“I pulled in to the roadside and watched it for 20-30 seconds and took a couple of pictures. Something had broken the surface and was thrashing about but I couldn’t tell what it was.

They were taken by Steve Frame, who insists no one can explain what he's captured

“There were no boats about and it definitely wasn’t a seal, a bird or a fish. It was much too big for that. I often see strange things on the loch as I travel the A82 road every day. But this is the first time I have seen anything like this.

“I am not saying it is Nessie because I don’t know. My heart says I am a believer but my head says no, but there is no doubt that something strange is in the loch. Whether it is a prehistoric animal, I doubt it.

“I know veteran Nessie hunter Steve Feltham and I took my photographs to show him and he was baffled.”

Steve, who examined the pictures, said that the subject of the Loch Ness monster has turned a corner over the past year or so.

He said: “For a long time people have been afraid to talk publicly about what they have seen.

“But here we have a local resident, who lives overlooking the water, daring to stick his neck out, with absolutely nothing to gain, and say ‘look, I don’t know what I have photographed, but I think it warrants closer examination’.

“There has been a large increase in the number of witnesses coming forward lately which is a great thing for us believers because it means we have something new to debate.

“I would not like to guess what Steve has photographed. It’s one of the pictures that is always going to be eminently controversial.

“Some will dismiss it, others will be fascinated and others will believe it is Nessie having fun.”
