Zara Tindall gives a revealing insight into how the royal family celebrates Christmas
"Christmas takes on a new magic if you have children"
THE Queen's granddaughter, Zara Tindall, has opened up about what it is like spending Christmas with the royal family and it is very much a family affair.
And the thing she is looking forward to the most - being reunited with all of her relatives at Sandringham.
Speaking to Country Living she said: "Having all the generations of my family together at Christmas is my favourite part of the season.
"It’s a time of year that is about being with people you love, great food and loads of games to play."
Zara and her husband Mike Tindall's daughter, Mia, turns three in January so she is now old enough to start understanding the festive celebrations.
Zara added: "Christmas takes on a new magic if you have children."
Mia will, of course, have no shortage of playmates around the Christmas tree, including Prince George, three, and Princess Charlotte, one.
The last time all of the grandchildren were most likely together was at the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations.
