‘I imagine this is what Kim Kardashian would look like for Kanye:’ Introducing the twerking Christmas nose
A woman’s twerking nose video picturing a woman dressed in Santa gear has gone viral on Instragram
It's December, Christmas is nearly here and it's time to celebrate.
Most people mark the festive season by wearing Christmas jumpers, donning flashing earrings or even putting on a Santa hat.
But for one woman, nothing says Christmas more than a twerking nose dressed up in a Santa costume.
The bizarre video is the handiwork of Mel Hancock, a face painter and body work artist based in the Midlands.
The video, which has gone viral since being posted on Instagram three days ago, shows a dancing figure in a Christmas outfit drawn onto Mel's nose.
After penning the figure onto her face, the artist raises her finger to make her nose jiggle. In doing so, the figure moves along with her nose and appears to twerk.
A version of Christmas tune Jingle Bells can be heard in the background as the Santa clad figure dances on the artist's nose.
The trend for drawing twerking figures on your face started back in May when a Rihanna fan posted a video of her nose twerking to the songstresses hit single Work, and people all over the globe joined in on the facial feature fun.
But artist Mel, whose Instagram usually contains snaps of her latest body art or face painting, chose to give the trend a festive update. Captioning the image, Mel wrote:
"I was tagged a million times in a video ages ago of the lady who did this originally and I didn't jump on the bandwagon but for some reason it popped into my head last night so I thought I'd do a Christmas version."
The artist added: "I imagine this is what Kim Kardashian would look like for Kanye."
The twerking craze started back in the 90s, with popstars like Beyonce referencing the move which involves thrusting hip movements in a low squatting stance.
More recently, stars like Miley Cyrus and Rihanna have brought the style of dance back into the mainstream. Miley caused controversy when she twerked against Robin Thicke in her performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, whilst Rihanna chose the style of dance for the video of her hit single Work back in February.

But the recent trend for twerking noses has seen the silly side of the usually raunchy dance.
For Mel, even putting the video together kept her giggling. She commented: "Took me about 4 takes before I did it without laughing my ass off!"
