'Wrapologist' Kirsten Westlake has wrapped for the royals and, armed with her tips, you just can't go wrong
IF you're more worried about your abysmal wrapping than if someone's going to like their gift, you need to get clued up on how to get pinterest-worthy presents.
Step away from the tin foil, you can wrap your presents like a ninja with these expert tips.
“Wrapologist” Kirsten Westlake, from gift service , has wrapped presents for Liberty, Christian Dior and the royal family and here she shares her five insider tips to getting the perfect package every time.
#1 Smart tape
“Double-sided sticky tape is every wrap star’s secret weapon. It’s almost invisible and makes the finished product appear super-slick.”
#2 Colour code
“Assign each family member a different coloured wrapping paper. It’s fun and saves on gift tags. Metallic tones like copper and rose gold
are stylish and very on-trend this year.”
#3 Less is more
“People often come unstuck by using too much paper, which causes bulky, messy folds. The secret is to measure before you cut and use just enough to meet by about a centimetre.”
#4 Think outside the box
“If you’re wrapping something huge, use a paper tablecloth, not rolls of paper. It’s bigger, more flexible and won’t rip as easily.”

#5 Personalise
“Think about the passions of the person you are giving to. Wrap gifts using maps for a travel junkie, recipes for a foodie, or old sheet music for a jazz lover. For a gardener, tie pine cones and evergreens in with the ribbons.”
