Buffy The Vampire Slayer is 20 years old… Here’s what the cast from the hit 90s show are up to now
One of the boys has struggled with addiction and multiple arrests, while his co-star is married to a former Playmate
IT'S 20 years today since Buffy the Vampire Slayer first hit our TV screens.
The original show - starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy and British actor Anthony Head as her Watcher Rupert Giles - premiered on March 10, 1997 and was a huge hit.
It wrapped in 2003, and some of the stars went on to bigger and better things - while others faded from the limelight.
Here's what the original cast are doing now:
David Boreanaz
Angel was the hunky vampire who Buffy, and an army of teenage admirers, fell in love with.
Given that Buffy's job was to kill vampires, it was a pretty rocky relationship.
Angel eventually left town for his own good but, luckily for David's fans, he later got his own spin-off series.
After the spin-off ended in 2004 David 47, got another TV role on Bones - in which he has starred for 11 seasons, alongside Zooey Deschanel's sister Emily.
David is currently married to former Playmate Jaime Bergman, and has two kids.
Nicholas Brendon
Buffy Summers and Willow Rosenberg's pal Xander Harris was the geeky funny guy every sitcom needs.
His love life was a little bit complicated though. Xander started off with a puppy dog crush on Buffy, before moving onto the most popular girl in school (Cordelia Chase), and then having a fling with his best friend Willow.
Oh, and then he hooked up with an ex-demon.
Aside from his role as Kevin Lynch in Criminal Minds from 2007-2014 Nicholas, 45, has sadly seen a fall from grace since his Buffy days.
Due to addiction problems and related struggles, Nicholas has been arrested multiple times since 2010.
He appeared on Dr Phil in 2015 after reaching out for help, but stormed off set during the interview.
Eliza Dushku
Vampire slayer Faith catapulted into the show's third season and immediately caused drama as the bad girl to Buffy's sweet temperament.
Eliza, 36, also starred in spin-off Angel, as well as TV series Tru Calling and Dollhouse.
The brunette actress has also appeared in films including Bring It On, True Lies, The New Guy, Wrong Turn, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Michelle Trachtenberg
Dawn Summers joined the show in the 5th season as Buffy’s really annoying younger sister.
Entertainment Weekly even named her as one of the '21 most annoying TV characters ever'.
After Buffy ended Michelle, 31, took her annoying TV persona over to Gossip Girl - where she played villain Georgina Sparks.
She also played Celeste in Six Feet Under and appeared in films including Euro Trip and 17 Again.
Alyson Hannigan
Willow was originally Buffy's geeky best pal, but she slowly morphed into a powerful witch.
She later fell in love with fellow sorceress Tara Maclay.
Alyson, 42, is probably the biggest success story from the show.
The red-haired beauty played Michelle Flaherty in American Pie between 1999-2012, and starred in How I Met Your Mother from 2005-2014.
Sarah Michelle Gellar
Buffy was the kick-ass vampire slayer and star of the show.
Her life was a little tumultuous. Buffy had a long-lost sister, a nightmare roommate, a doppelganger, and she fell in love with one of her vampire targets. Awkward.
Since first appearing in Buffy Sarah, 39, has starred in I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, Cruel Intentions, and Scooby Doo.
Sarah also appeared in The Grudge, Scooby Doo 2 and TV series Ringer and The Crazy Ones.
