Meet the mum who is so obsessed with white her whole house is in the colour… and so is her car and her CAT
Claire Dix is happy to wear colour, but she won't allow it in her home decor
MANY of us have a favourite colour, but one woman has taken her love for a certain shade to the extreme.
Claire Dix, 51, is so obsessed with white it's the only colour she'll allow in her house.
All the floors, ceilings and walls in her home in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, are bright white, as is her furniture, sheets and her towels.
Better yet, even Claire's cat, called Mr Darcy, matches the colour scheme.
"It's not an obsession, just a matter of style - I happen to like white," she said.
"It started when I was decorating a house 25 years ago - every time I put a colour on the wall I didn't like it.
"So in the end I went with white and it's just gone on from there."
Claire drives a white Porsche sports car and the other family car is - you've guessed it - white.
She has branched out in the past, but couldn't stand her black car when it arrived so exchanged it for a white one.
To keep her home spotless she even has a white limited-edition Dyson cleaner.
The 51-year-old mum's devotion has even led to her having a funny nickname - her family call her Mrs Obama because she lives in the White House.
The effect of her decor is quite something, with the PA admitting sometimes people are dazzled when they see her home.
