Emma Thompson, 57, slims from a size 14 to a 10 in six weeks thanks to a £4,500 diet plan loved by the Duchess of Cambridge
The Oscar award-winning actress has been following Louise Packer's 'anti-diet diet' regime

SHE’S one of the nation’s best loved actresses – and Emma Thompson is on her way to being the fittest, too.
The 57-year-old Oscar award winner has slimmed down from a size 14 to a 10 in just six weeks thanks to a £4,500 diet plan that is endorsed by the Duchess of Cambridge.
Mum-of-two Emma has lost over a stone with the help of dietician Louise Packer, who has created the ‘anti-diet diet’ - a regime that bans gimmicky foods such as kale, chia seeds and gluten free items.
Louise, a mum-of-three, allows her clients to eat fast food treats such as steak burgers, cheese and bacon sandwiches, as well as enjoying the odd tipple.
The intensive course required Emma to train six times a week for 90 minutes at a time, alternating between weight classes and ballet moves.
In the foreword to her healthy eating book, The Louise Parker Method: Lean For Life: The Cookbook, Love Actually star Emma writes: “Louise is the only one out there I trust - she’s not holier than thou, yet somehow miraculously gets my reluctant arse into gear and sometimes even keeps it there.
“I love that her method is NOT a diet - and is genuinely sustainable - so I can have my glass of wine and manage to avoid spending the rest of the week eating cheesy Wotsits.
“She toughens me up without driving me round the bend with kale juice and the more depressing style of sprout. She just gets it. We all use her, because she’s discreet and funny and that’s really important.”
Louise devised a nutritional dietary plan for the actress and weighed her weekly using bioelectrical impedance scales, which measure body fat and muscle.
Emma ate three, calorie controlled meals a day, which had to contain protein, low GI (glycaemic index) carbohydrates and a small amount of healthy fat, plus two snacks.
