The Chase fans outraged after medical student gets an anatomy question WRONG
THE Chase viewers were left in shock after a medical student got an easy anatomy question wrong.
Euan, from Glasgow, was asked by host Bradley Walsh which organ the pituitary gland was in.
But - despite completing his six years of studies - Euan fluffed the answer and said it was in the neck, not the brain.
Clearly embarrassed by his awkward blunder, Euan hid his face with his hands.
Fans of the ITV daytime programme – who call themselves ‘Gang of Chase’ – shared their disbelief on Twitter.
Nick Thomas commented: “#TheChase #gangofchase he’s a doctor? Do the research team check or just take people’s word for what they do?”
Shauna O’Connor added: “Th’on ‘doctor’ contestant on #TheChase is clueless. Hope I don’t get sick anytime soon!!”
Rob Lilley agreed, saying: “He’s a doctor and he’s just got a medical question wrong, don’t think I’d go to see him if I was ill #TheChase.”
Natasha Louise wrote: “Budding young doctor on #TheChase reckons the pituitary gland is in the neck. Er.”
A user called Deb wasn’t surprised by the mistake, commenting: “Well that’s scary, but not surprising. A newly qualified Med student on #TheChase ‘the pituitary gland is in the neck’! #OMG After 6 years of study.”
An angry Lucy Lewis added: “@ITVChase @YouTube #thechase not funny that a doctor doesn’t know where the pituitary gland is!! No wonder us #thyroid patients suffer!”
Regardless of his massive howler, Euan managed to bank £4,000 and made it through to the final chase alongside fellow contestant Linda.
Unfortunately, the pair’s dream of taking home a share of £64,000 was ruined by The Chaser, Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha.

But Euan isn’t the only competitor to be left red-faced.

Bradley Walsh asked him: “What is the only planet in the universe known to support life?” to which he replied, “Mars”.
