From playrooms to dressing up, this is what really happens on a swingers’ sex cruise
The 'clothing optional' holidays set sail from Venice in Italy
SWINGERS are turning luxury liners into steamy boats for tailor-made sex cruises.
Wealthy couples who want to see more than the stunning scenery are signing up for the Desire cruises, which regularly set sail from Venice in Italy.
Playrooms, kinky dressing up and sex games are among the attractions on the “clothing optional” holidays, run by Mexican company Original Group.
Mario Cruz, a product developer with the company, told the New York Post: “One game we have is a contest to see which couple can get into the most sexual positions within a one-minute time limit.
“Then, for fun, we might change it up and have two women showing us the various positions.”
The couples-only cruises offer round-the-clock swinging but there are rules.
Mario added: “Playrooms are the only public areas where you can actually have sex.
“Guests can get sensual and close at the pool, but you cannot have intercourse.
“We don’t want to have people who are relaxing, maybe reading books or whatever, and all of a sudden the people next to them are having sex.”
Mario says things really start to get frisky once the sun goes down and the couples have had a few drinks.
This is when the action below decks can get pretty hardcore.
He said: “I have seen things that I never thought I would see — not even in a movie.”
He recalls the time when a man and woman swapped clothing at the pool so that they were both essentially in drag and proceeded to a playroom.
He said: “The lady was [sexually] acting like a man, and the man was acting like a lady.
“I am pretty open-minded and even I was a little uncomfortable. But you respect what everyone does, and nobody judges you.”

The cruise attracts a mix of nudists, swingers and the curious and will have 350 couples on board this autumn.
Guests can take part in tantric yoga, talks from sexologists and carnal possibilities to suit every taste.
Mario loves the cruises but has a strict hands-off policy.
He said: “I bring my wife, it’s our job.
“I enjoy being around the guests, but I know my limits. I don’t participate. The golden rule is ‘no means no.’ ”
