Are they taking the Mickey? This secret dining experience at Disneyland costs nearly £12,000
The seven-course meal takes place at a secret location inside the Disneyland park
MOST Disneyland visitors are content with a burger and shake but if you're looking for even more magic on your visit, a new dining experience has been launched - and it will set you back an eye-watering £12,000.
For this hefty sum, diners are led to a secret location inside the California park for a seven-course treat in 21 Royal – a suite that was designed for Walt himself.
The fine-dining experience is for a party of up to 12 guests, who are met in Disneyland’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa by a VIP guide.
They are then lead to the exclusive apartment, 21 Royal Street, which is located above New Orleans Square, and diners are welcomed up its ornate staircase by a butler.
The stunning flat was originally designed to be a secret space that Walt Disney and his wife Lillian could stay in during their time in the park.
The media mogul sadly passed away before he could use the dining room, and it has since only been accessible for members of the exclusive Club 33.
Now anyone who has the money can take part in the 21 Royal dining experience, which includes park entry, gratuity and valet services.
The meal is a seven-course affair and is described as being an “epicurean theatre,” where chefs Andrew Sutton and Justin Monson share stories of their inspiration for each dish.
Guests can see the space where the couple would have resided, including seeing Disney themed items peppered around the flat.
These include murals of castles that inspired the design of Sleeping Beauty’s home.
The evening finishes with dessert on the private balcony, where guests can enjoy the park’s fireworks up close.
For £998 ($1,250) per person, the experience doesn’t come cheap, but is the closest experience to what it would have been like at a dinner party with Walt Disney.
