The Chase contestants win huge £46k as the Sinnerman crumbles under the pressure
One viewer joked Paul Sinha was probably still recovering from a recent uni night out in Birmingham, after his poor performance
TWO lucky contestants have managed to bag a huge £46,000 between them on The Chase - after one ITV boffin admitted he crumbled under the pressure of the quiz show.
Paul Sinha, who goes by the name the Sinnerman on The Chase, trained as a GP at St George's Medical School - but he failed to beat Emma and Jason in today's episode.
A defeated Sinnerman said of Emma and Jason's performance: "I want to say they thoroughly deserved it.
"They under-performed slightly in the final chase, but to get back and play as well as they did, they thoroughly deserved it.
"I'm afraid to say that the pressure got to me. My time management was all wrong there, because when I needed an extra second on a question, I didn't give that extra second, and I made errors which allowed you to win £46,000."

The Sinnerman got six questions wrong in the final chase, and mistakenly said that Prince Andrew, Charles' brother, was Prince George's uncle - when he is in fact his great uncle.
Emma and Jason took home £23,000 each.
Jason said he planned to "go to the travel agents and book a trip to Florida" while Emma wanted to "ditch the caravan and go five-star" on her own holiday.
When he's not putting his brains to test on The Chase, Paul does stand up comedy.
Earlier this month, Paul surprised Birmingham University students by turning up at a house party - and abandoning his attempt at Dry January as he enjoyed drinks with the youngsters.
Viewer Laurence Taylor joked that Paul was "probably suffering from that uni night out he had", adding: "The Sinnerman has had an absolute mare on The Chase tonight".
While Gemma Murphy said he looked 'genuinely devastated' and Ian Johnstone said he was 'gutted' for the chaser.
