Holly Willoughby set to DOUBLE her wealth to £21million by launching interior design business with Dragons’ Den’s Peter Jones
The This Morning presenter, 35, has set up Truly Group Ltd with Peter’s partner Tara Capp
SHE’S got a tidy £11million in the bank thanks to her presenting work, lucrative beauty contracts and lifestyle projects.
But Holly Willoughby is set to nearly double her fortune to £21million by launching an interior design business with Dragons’ Den mogul Peter Jones.
The This Morning presenter, 35, has set up Truly Group Ltd with Peter’s partner Tara Capp - and the pair plan to unveil their business ideas later this year.
Holly has been close friends with Peter and Tara for many years, and was spotted holidaying with the couple in August last year alongside her husband Dan Baldwin.
Brand expert Phil Pallen said the venture could make Holly the UK’s wealthiest female TV presenter and net her "£10million, if not more".
Meanwhile, Neil Mcleod, a PR expert and head of strategic communications at award-winning London agency PHA Media, believes Holly has built up a brand people trust and like.
He told The Sun Online: “Holly Willoughby is a UK national treasure.
"The public have grown up with her on our screens and admired her versatility as a TV presenter, fronting some of the UK’s most popular, primetime shows, including The Voice, Dancing On ice and This Morning.
"This has ensured she has a wide reaching fan base and seen her become one of the highest paid UK presenters."
He added: "Her name is very much already a brand on its own – she is trusted, she has style, she is smart and likeable.
"On top of this, she is real. Consumers are buying into a lifestyle when they buy products associated with her. That is a big draw.
"Holly’s new venture with such a notable business tycoon has the potential to make her millions and many celebrities go on to be hugely successful designers, utilising their name and public profile to boost interest and ultimately sales.
"We are yet to see the full detail of Holly’s business but homeware is a big market in the UK. With her eye for detail and Peter Jones’ business acumen, this is a very exciting new development for Holly.”
Holly has also had the seal of approval from celebrity interior designer Dawn Ward, who is worth £42million.
“I definitely think Holly will do well,” she told magazine.
“She's one of the nation's best-loved TV presenters and has a name people instantly trust and recognise.
“It will also help that she has some great celebrity friends who she can get on board to promote her work.”
Holly’s showbiz career began when she was just 14, after being spotted by modelling scouts at Clothes Show Live in Birmingham.
She signed to Storm – the agency that represented Kate Moss – and appeared in a wealth of teen magazines, including Just Seventeen.
Holly made the move into television by appearing on S Club TV and Ministry of Mayhem, for which she won a BAFTA in 2006.
Holly currently earns £400,000 a year by presenting This Morning, but has also fronted prime-time shows such as Celebrity Juice, Dancing On Ice and The Xtra Factor.
She is reported to have netted £400,000 during her brief presenting stint on The Voice.
Away from television, Holly has written a series of children’s book with her sister Kelly, which have gone on to become UK best sellers.
