TAKE two of the hottest on-trend looks – glossy hair and ballet buns – and you’ve got a tress trend we’re totally crushing. And the best bit? It’s so easy you can do it in three steps.

As seen on the Dior catwalk, models sported a severe side parting with an uber glossy finish.

It looked super stylish, but we were concerned it was a SFCL (strictly for catwalk look, FYI). Until we tried it for ourselves.

This super sleek ‘do not only looks chic, it’s so easy. Oh, and it works better on slightly dirtier hair, yay!

STEP ONE

Divide your second day hair in the centre using either a tail comb or your fingers

STEP TWO

Pull on the hair and twist it tightly to stop flyaways coming out

Take one section and twist away from the face from the root to the tip.

Pull on the hair to create tension – this will ensure all the flyaways and layers stay inside the ponytail.

STEP THREE

Secure the bun with kirby grips and finish with a shine spray

Wrap hair into a low bun and secure with kirby grips every 2cm to keep it tight and prevent it from moving. Repeat on the other side.

Fix in place with a hairspray that contains added shine, we heart Charles Worthing Diamond Shine Hairspray, £4.66 (Boots.com).

Et voilà, you're good go!

Another hair trend taking the red carpet by storm at the moment is the 'just out of bed' laidback style.
