14 celebrities who love Beyonce even more than we do – including Adele, of course
Adele isn't the only celebrity to go above and beyond for Beyonce. Whether it's Hugh Jackman saying working with her is an all-time career high or Barack Obama saying she's the best role model for his girls, she's not short of celebrity super fans
ADELE last night made it pretty clear where her loyalties lie.
Most people would be over the moon to win the Grammy award for Album of the Year, but Adele was so adamant that Beyonce should have won over her that she dedicated her win to the Lemonade singer and also broke the award in half.
Even Queen Bey struggled to hold back the tears as she watched Adele’s emotional tribute.
The Tottenham-born artist isn’t the only A-lister to worship the ground Beyonce walks on, however. Here are some of the other most impressive tribute from her fellow Tinseltown peers.
Nicki Minaj
Nicki said in an interview with RWD Magazine in 2010: “Just her name alone defines greatness. Just her. Her.
“When I met her, she was a super sweetheart. The fact that she complimented me, I never forgot that. That stuck with me. She was like ‘You killed it’ and I was like ‘Huh?’. Like, that just didn’t even register.”
That’s what the rest of us call starstruck.
Kanye West
Who can forget Kanye storming the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech because he thought Beyonce’s Single Ladies should have won?
In an interview afterwards he defended his actions saying: “[Beyoncé] is the greatest living artist we have to date.”
No.1 fan right there.
Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick had her own Grammys fan girling moment in 2014.
She later revealed on the talk show with Conan O’Brien: “I know everybody is, but I’m totally obsessed with Beyoncé,’ she gushed to the comedian. ‘I walked past Beyoncé at one point and, because I’m not worthy, I didn’t look at her.
“[My friends and I] did make a detour down the front just to walk past Beyoncé… We thought, ‘We’ll just walk past her and get some of her aura.’ We walked past and my friend was like, ‘Dude, she was motioning to you and you just walked past her!’
“And I panicked. I mean, I didn’t know quite what to do, but I thought, ‘Once in a lifetime, just do it.’ I went back and I was like, ‘I’m so sorry to do this, I just wanted to meet you. You’re such an inspiration.’
“And she stood up – she was so nice – and she points to Jay Z and was like, ‘Oh, we just watched you on the Kennedy Center Honors. You were so great. You were so cute in your little red dress.”
That is the dream.
Rihanna
Rihanna’s signed to Bey’s husband’s Jay-Z’s record label Roc Natio, so it works out nicely that’s she’s a massive fan of Queen Bey.
On Twitter in 2012 she posted a picture of Bey with the caption: “[She] could single handedly destroy the self esteem of an entire nation.”
Gwyneth Paltrow
The actress got matey with Bey after her ex-husband Chris Martin and Jay-Z teamed up for an unlikely collaboration.
She said on The Ellen Degeneres Show in 2010: “It’s kind of nauseating. It’s kind of like [Beyoncé]’s so perfect that it’s kind of hard to take.”
We know the feeling.
Hugh Jackman
Lady Gaga
Another artist who isn’t afraid to make a statement, Lady Gaga is another big Beyonce fan.
She told MTV News in 2009: “You know, [Beyoncé] is such a beautiful person, and I gotta tell you, I just adore her. I had kind of lost faith a little bit in meeting artists in the business — and then I met Beyoncé. She is a real, real woman. I have never laughed so hard on a video set in my life. We had the best time doing ‘Video Phone.'”
Blake Lively
Beyonce’s 2013 Superbowl performance had the whole world in awe, and no one more so than poor Blake Lively.
She said afterwards: “Oh my gosh, I just want Beyoncé to be the mother of my children. She was amazing. I can’t, I can’t even. I don’t even have words for her.”
Michelle Obama
The Former First Lady Michelle Obama is an idol to many women the world over, but she’s found an idol on her own in Beyonce.
She told People that she wishes she could be her and said: “Gosh. If I had some gift, I’d be Beyonce, I’d be some great singer.”
Oh, and she’s often seen on the front row at her concerts.
That’s a proper fan right there.
Barack Obama
He’s previously said: “Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent.”
You know, just in case having a President and a First Lady as parents wasn’t inspiring enough.
Taylor Swift
The US artist has legions of fans comparable in strength and number to the Beehive, but she’s still totally in awe of Beyonce.
She told KissFM UK in 2015: “It’s like, normal for everyone to love Beyoncé, but I love her more than that amount, like more than the normal amount. I try really hard not to let it get creepy. I just really like, channel it into a joyous admiration and appreciation. She’s awesome.”
Sounds like it’s already got a bit creepy.
Usher
Usher declared his admiration for Beyonce at the American Music Awards in 2007 when he presented her with the International Artist Award.
He said: “With gifts as big and generous as nature, a voice that touches the heart of everyone who hears it, a smile that can light up a stadium, she is something rare and special. In a world of divas and superstars, there is only one … Beyonce!”
Victoria Beckham
When VB saw Beyonce wearing one of her designs on TV she said: “Beyonce is absolutely beautiful and has the most phenomenal body. I’m a huge Beyonce fan, so it was big for me.”
Her husband David has a similar effect on celebrities as Beyonce though. Check out these 13 celebrities who met him… and were just as excited as we would be.
