The Chase will now air on weekends too… but it’s back with a difference
The format of the game will remain the same but the teams will look remarkably different
POPULAR ITV gameshow The Chase will be hitting our screens for a weekend special.
Bradley Walsh and The Chasers will feature in a reboot of the show called The Family Chase – which will see relatives team up to face The Chasers.
The format of the game will remain the same but the teams, which are usually made up of four strangers, will be replaced by four family members.
Families will then go up against either The Beast, The Vixen, The Sinnerman, The Dark Destroyer or The Governess in a test of their general knowledge.
But weekday fans need not worry - the original series will continue to air in its regular afternoon slot during the week.
The Family Chase will air during Saturday teatime, marking the first time The Chase has been shown in a prime-time slot.
Executive producer Michael Kelpie said: "They know each other's strengths and weaknesses, they've discussed a strategy beforehand but of course, that can all mean nothing when they go face-to-face against one of the UK's finest quiz brains.
