Oscars 2017 most glamorous stars are caught in VERY embarrassing red carpet throwback snaps
WHETHER it was Amy Adam's vintage glam silver gown or Jessica Alba's to-die-for baby blue ruffled chiffon dress, there were plenty of looks to swoon over at the Oscars last night.
What may surprise you to know is that Hollywood's glam squad have suffered some seriously embarrassing red carpet disasters in their time. Here, we look back at the most cringeworthy premiere pics.
Emma Stone
Emma was awarded Best Actress for her role in La La Land and this intricate flapper style gown by the designer Givenchy was just as much of a winner.
It's in stark contrast to this questionable outfit she wore to the Superbad premiere in 2007. Seriously, that style flatters no one.
Naomie Harris
Nominee Naomie Harris looked the part last night in a strapless white mini dress with a long train, teamed with yellow heels.
The killer combo and sophisticated style is a world away from this disaster at the Hope Springs premiere in 2003. A denim jacket? Really?
Brie Larson
Actress Brie Larson stole the show last night in this ruffled Oscar de la Renta dress-to-die-for.
Dramatic yet understated, it's the definition of a red carpet winner.
Something she hadn't yet learned when the fresh-faced teen attended The Time Machine premiere in 2002.
Amy Adams
Amy Adams nailed vintage Hollywood style in her plunging silver gown on the Oscars red carpet.
It couldn't be further from her jeans and denim shirt combo at the Old School premiere in 2003.
Double denim may be back in fashion, but this was never a good look.
Jessica Biel
Jessica Biel consistently makes the best-dressed list at awards ceremonies and last night was no exception.
In top-to-toe gold sequins, the actress looked every inch a superstar.
So it may come as a surprise to see she wasn't always so stylish... There really is nothing positive to say about this ensemble she wore to The Rules of Attraction premiere in 2002.
Taraji P. Henson
Sometimes you can't do better than an LBD - something nominee Taraji P. Henson proved last night in this sexy black number.
Her style hasn't always been so classic and understated though, as this flesh-flashing strappy number at the Baby Boy film premiere in 2001 shows.
RELATED STORIES
Jessica Alba
Last night, Jessica was a lesson in how to wear a thigh-high split dress and do it right.
She stole the show in her floor-length baby blue chiffon number - which was a far cry from her overly understated outift choice at the Apt Pupil Premiere in 1998. Did she come straight from doing a food shop?
Ruth Negga
Nominee Ruth Negga made sure all eyes were on her in this dreamy floor length red Valentino gown.
While it was for all the right reasons last night, something tells us she was centre of attention for all the wrong reasons at the Breakfast On Pluto premiere in 2006...
Emma Roberts
Emma Roberts pulled off an enviable feat at the Oscars 2017 - making a revealing gown look classy.
After her first red carpet appearance as a youngster, no one suspected she'd grow into such a style icon.
Viola Davis
Last night Viola Davis won the Best Supporting Actress award, but that's not the only thing she should be proud of.
She was a show-stopper in this beautiful Armani Privé gown (a popular designer pick at this year's Oscars) - but it couldn't be further from this outfit disaster at the Solaris premiere in 2002. Yep, those are nipple silhouettes.
It's safe to say this is probably a less proud moment.
