The Chase contestants win £60,000 as they beat The Governess in nail-biting final

IT was a nail-biting episode of The Chase tonight, as all FOUR contestants made it through to the final - and battled The Governess for £60,000 prize money.

Scottish contestant Patricia was the real star of the show - storming through the final chase, and answering £47,000 worth of questions on her own.

One viewer even joked that she should get a "knighthood" for her stellar effort.

Viewers were delighted as Patricia, Charmaine, Matt and Alan comfortably beat Anne Hegerty to score the prize money.

Scarlett Seadon said: "How intense is The Chase!! Patricia babe". While Victoria Rowe wrote: "I GET FAR TOO INVESTED IN THE CHASE".

Meanwhile, brain-box Matt seems to have won himself a few admirers.

He's even been labelled "the hottest The Chase contestant ever".

But Matt seems to have taken it all in his stride. Posting on Twitter, the bashful lad joked: "Man, they did a good job with the makeup".
