While there’s no certainty that any of the posts are verified, they certainly make for entertaining reading.

From predicting a pregnancy, to getting VERY intimate under their desks, here are seven things Reddit users claimed that students have been caught doing in classrooms…

1. They nose something about you

An anonymous poster, who claimed to be in the teaching industry, confessed that a student had stunned them with their bizarre talent.

They said: "I had a student accurately describe the sandwich I had for lunch just be smelling my hands."

2. What on birth?

Another Reddit user alleged: "A blond haired six year old girl told my co-teacher she (my co-teacher not the kid) was pregnant in the middle of a maths lesson.

"She said it as monotone and as creepily as you can imagine. The kids even cringed.

"My co-teacher found out a week later that she was... she had no idea."

3. Snot always a nice job

There's no doubt that teachers can get a rough deal when it comes to misbehaving kids.

One Reddit user claimed: "Students were independently working and I was printing some documents I needed for a conference at my desk.

"A couple of students were goofing off, one of whom I addressed several times already.

"I called that student to my desk... as I began to speak, he snorted and then spat a wad of discoloured snot into his hand.

"While maintaining eye contact, he smeared it across my desk as an act of defiance."

4. Sex education

An anonymous Reddit user alleged that he had once caught pupils getting frisky under the desk.

They revealed: "I teach high school kids, and I think a lot of them don't understand that we can see what's going on under the desk.

"One day everyone was working on group projects, and I came up behind the pair and something wasn't quite right.

"The girl had her jacket on her lap, and the guy had his hand under it.

"I cleared my hand and they both jumped."

High school students seemed to be the ones being named and shamed in the thread, but some younger kids were ridiculed too

5. A bloody disaster

An eight-year-old has been accused of taking creativity to a disgusting new level during one lesson.

A poster claiming to be a teacher said: "A student picked his nose until it bled then put his finger in his nose and used the blood on the tip to make a pattern on his paper.

"He would also frequently look at other students and drag his finger across his throat with no expression on his face. He was 8."

6. The steaks are high

Going to school can be scary for new pupils, but one brought in a very unusual mascot to help them through the day.

A Reddit user claimed: "My sister had a (high school) student who was carrying a piece of raw meat in his backpack and would not get rid of it."

7. Not much parental guidance

One teacher claimed that a kid had turned up to class in very inappropriate attire.

Amusingly, they alleged that he wore a "T-shirt that said, 'I want to make love to you in New York."
