Clever goose who loves taking a stroll with owner through Cornish town is an instant hit with tourists and a local celebrity
Nick wears leather trousers to protect himself from Sasha biting at his ankles
TAKE a gander at this – a goose being taken for a walk by its owner.
Ten-month-old Sasha has become a local celebrity after being taken for walks by Nick Chapman, 57.
The Sebastopol goose likes nothing more than to slip on his leash and head out for a stroll through the tiny fishing port of Polperro, Cornwall.
Dad-of-one Nick raised Sasha from an egg after deciding he wanted something a little different for company.
He first tried his hand with chickens and after successfully hatching several hens he moved on to geese.

He said: “Sasha hatched last summer and just seems to adore being taken for walks.
“I take him for about an hour’s walk through the village around twice a week.
"We always get these astonished looks from locals and tourists alike but everyone seems to love him so I figure why not?”
Nick dons special leather trousers for his walks with Sasha as he can sometimes bite at his ankles and legs.
But on the whole the bird calmly strolls around the village quacking and posing for pictures.
